Doctor Who: Time for change- by Benjamin Latto

This story uses material from the "Doctor Who" franchise-

("Doctor Who: Time for change" tells the story the Doctor's regeneration from his 8th incarnation into his 9th incarnation.

Synopsis-

The Doctor has just destroyed  Skaro, the Daleks, his homeplanet of Gallifray & his people- the Timelords- He is the last of his kind. Just before Gallifray is destroyed, The  8th Doctor is just about to enter his TARDIS to escape the planet's explosion. He is approached by an alien who is mortaly wounded and is carrying a bomb set to go off, the Dying alien gives The Doctor the bomb so he can dispose of it safely. The Doctor agrees to dispose of the bomb and leaves. As the TARDIS is in flight, the bomb malfunctions and explodes pre-maturely. The explosion goes on to harm The Doctor so much he starts regenerating. It also causes the TARDIS to become damaged too thus causing it to regenerate also. Once The newly regenerated 9th Doctor has picked out his new clothes, the TARDIS detects a signal coming from Earth which The Doctor goes on to investigate.

Authours notes-

1. In my mind the 9th Doctor was David Tennant and the 10th Doctor was Billie Piper. "Why"? U ask? Well the 9th Doctor loved Rose so much, during his regeneration to his 10th body  his biology changed so he took on Rose's personality and looks ( kinda like a sex change for Timelords if you will) So Christopher Eccelstion was never The Doctor to me. (If u don't like this idea please leave a comment).
2. This story maps the end of the Time -war and leads up to the events of the first episode of the 2005 series- "Rose".
3.The 8th Doctor's TARDIS console is seen for the last time in this story and marks the first apperance of the "Coral themed console room" that is seen from 2005's series to the first episode of Matt Smith's reign as The Doctor.
4. This short story was the first story I have written on a big scale.
